The services provided by the Information and Communication Technology Department (ICT) in Akhaura, Brahmanbaria for the spread of information technology are:

  1. Provide necessary assistance in visiting and supervising Sheikh Russell Digital Labs.
  2. Supervision of the ICT Club formed at Sheikh Russell Digital Lab.
  3. Provide necessary assistance in visiting and monitoring Union, Municipality, and Upazila Digital Centers.
  4. Participation and presentation of opinions in the Upazila ICT Committee.
  5. Participation in the Upazila Innovation Committee, providing technological assistance, and presenting opinions.
  6. Provide technical assistance in the maintenance and monitoring of ICT equipment established by the ICT Division in all offices.
  7. Provide assistance in technical training and information uploading for updating all department and union web portals.
  8. Provide basic ICT training and technical assistance to all government officials and employees.
  9. Provide e-filing training and assistance in implementation for government officials/employees.
  10. Provide technical opinions as a member of the procurement committees for purchasing ICT equipment in various offices.
  11. Technical assistance in setting up Digital Centers in Sadar and Upazilas.
  12. Providing training to teachers of educational institutions for the management of multimedia classrooms and the creation of digital content;
  13. Conducting video conferences and providing technical assistance;
  14. Participation in development fairs, internet fairs, digital fairs, and celebration of IT Day;
  15. Providing assistance in increasing the use of IT in serving the people in the grassroots level; Administration and financial management responsibilities as the head of the department;
  16. Providing technical assistance in establishing and managing free Wi-Fi zones;
  17. Selection, monitoring, and mentoring of trainees for various training programs under the Learning and Earning Project;
  18. Updating information on security;
  19. Providing the Sheikh Russell Digital Lab
